When I started my health journey I had no idea how much my life would change. I was overweight unhappy and unhealthy. I knew I needed to make a change, but I didn’t know where to start. Thankfully, I found the motivation I needed to start my journey to a healthier lifestyle.
In just six months I lost 20 pounds and drastically improved my health evet. I’m not perfect, and I still have days where I struggle, but I’m so much happier and healthier now than I was before. If I can do it, anyone can!
Here’s how I did it:
I cut out processed foods and sugar.
This was probably the hardest part of my journey but it was also the most important. processed foods and sugar are loaded with empty calories and unhealthy ingredients. They’re also addictive, which makes them hard to give up. But once I did, I felt so much better. I had more energy, my skin cleared up, and I started to lose weight.
I started working out regularly.
Exercise was always something I avoided, but I knew I needed to do it if I wanted to lose weight and get healthy. So I started small, with just a few minutes of walking every day. Gradually, I increased my time and intensity, and now I’m working out for at least 30 minutes every day. I’ve even started to enjoy it!
3. I changed my mindset.
This was probably the most important change I made. I realized that I needed to change my relationship with food and my body. I stopped seeing food as the enemy and started listening to my body’s cues. I also started to appreciate my body for all that it could do, instead of criticizing it for how it looked. This change in mindset was key to my success.
If you’re looking to make a change in your own life, I hope my story inspires you. Remember, anything is possible if you have the dedication and determination to make it happen.
How I Lost 20 Pounds In Just 6 Months
The new year is always a time for reflection, and for me, that meant taking a hard look at my health. I knew I needed to make a change but I wasn’t sure where to start. That’s when a friend of mine suggested I try the ketogenic diet.
I’d heard of the keto diet before but I wasn’t exactly sure what it entailed. My friend explained that it’s a high-fat low-carbohydrate diet that forces your body into a state of ketosis which is when your body starts burning fat for energy instead of carbs.
I was intrigued, but I had one big question: Would I be able to stick to it
I’m happy to report that the answer is yes. In fact, I not only stuck to the diet but I also lost 20 pounds in just six months.
Here’s how I did it:
I cut out all processed foods.
The first step I took was to cut out all processed foods from my diet. This was a lot harder than it sounds because processed food is everywhere. But I was determined to make a change so I slowly weaned myself off of things like bread pasta and cereal and replaced them with whole foods like vegetables meat and healthy fats.
I made sure I was getting enough fat.
One of the biggest misconceptions about the keto diet is that it’s a high-protein diet. In reality, it’s a high-fat diet. This may sound counterintuitive but it’s actually the key to success on the keto diet.
In order for your body to enter ketosis you need to eat enough fat to replace the carbs you’re no longer eating. This might mean increasing your fat intake which can be a challenge if you’re not used to eating a lot of fat. But it’s important to make sure you’re getting enough because otherwise you won’t see the results you’re hoping for.
What I Ate
I’m on a health journey and I’m happy to share what I ate to lose 20 pounds in just 6 months.

That’s when I decided to join a gym and start working out. At first it was really tough. I was so out of shape that I could barely run for 10 minutes on the treadmill. But I kept at it and slowly but surely I started to see results.
I started to lose weight and I began to feel more energetic. I was also sleeping better and my skin was looking better. I was really happy with the changes I was seeing and it motivated me to keep going.
Now 6 months later I have lost 20 pounds and I feel great! I’m still working out regularly and I’m eating a lot healthier. I’m so proud of the progress I’ve made and I know I wouldn’t have been able to do it without hard work and determination.
